Kīpaipai Art Foundation was born at the tail end of 2017 as a non-profit giving support to our community, working with disabled youth and offering a place for students to access the highest level of artistic knowledge. We believe in the alchemical combination of imagination and creativity with an understanding and effective use of the vocabulary of fine art.
Our curriculum focuses on drawing and painting. Our programs, workshops and private lessons, provide a space where students can connect to the traditional techniques in a simple and clear way, while learning to approach classical realism in a new light.
Drawing and Painting Atelier
This is a comprehensive program conducted in the classical painting style of the atelier. This workshop will cover the theory and principles of painting through basic to intermediate projects focusing on sight sizing, Bargue drawing, cast paintings, emotive paintings, still life, live model work, masterwork and portraiture.
Join us every month as we welcome a inspiring and masterful instructor covering a wide array of art styles, topics and mediums. Such as watercolor, pastel, silk scarf making, gold leaf and modernism. These are 4 hour workshops, the first Saturday of the month from 10-4pm. Pricing is $67 and often covers most if not all art materials.
Our Artist Spotlight showcase a past master artist. Join Rose Adare for this unique learning experience that includes a drawing/painting session with imaginative sets, props and live models depicting the featured artist's style, beginning with a few, short, warm-up poses followed by one long pose. The 3rd Saturday of every other month, 5:30 - 8:30 pm.
